So... my family has a history with butts.. see.. you may not know this.. but we are horribly guilty of talking about butts and anything to do with butts...
And then you go.. er, Ryan, your post says Grandma as the title.
Oh it gets better.
I think it was about a year ago when my sister fell down a tiny flight of stairs.. landing straight on her rear end... result: Broken butt.
Two days ago my grandma fell down trying to sit on the toilet. She has bad knees and my guess is on the way down to squat they just gave out and she missed. Anyway.. result: Broken butt.
The last broken bone my family has had was in 1999 when my dad was in the accident with Randy.. so the 2000 millenium is the millenium of the broken butts for us.
*facepalm*
So my grandma is at Milder Manor in Lincoln for the rest of the month for rehabilitation. She basically cant walk at all because it hurts to move her legs so bad cause of where the crack in the bone is.. and of course she cant get up on her own so thats why she's there. She'll hopefully be home at the end of January/Early February because being the fighter she is, she'll work hard at getting herself walking and independant again so she can come home.
In the meantime, my mom now has to: wash the dishes, fold the laundry, vacuum the carpet, and sweep the floors. My grandma had taken up doing those things while at my parents house and it keeps her busy and I think she enjoys it because she just up and started doing it one day.. they'd never ask her to do the things but she does it and remembers to do it daily despite her loss of memory and all that. She also folds clothes like.. perfectly.. its amazing.
I told Grandma to: "Get your butt better so you can get your butt home!"
